Today’s Plan is excited to announce that we will be working closely with BORA – hansgrohe in the 2020 season as their coaching and performance data analysis platform. This announcement follows on from BORA – hansgrohe’s most successful season yet, where they finished 2nd overall in the 2019 UCI World Tour ranking.
The BORA – hansgrohe coaching staff will be utilising the logistics, nutrition, performance and planning tools available in the Today’s Plan platform to improve the insights into the factors affecting the performance of their athletes. Having a holistic approach to performance is now made possible by having all of these features available in the one platform.
“We’re excited by the range of analyzing tools, nutrition information, athlete wellness data and reporting functionality in addition to traditional sensor data such as heart rate and power that we’re now able to access in Today’s Plan that we weren’t previously able to see. Additionally, having athlete communication built in to the platform and a lot of intra-team comparisons between our riders gives us tremendous efficiency as a team” Dan Lorang – Head coach and head of innovation at BORA – hansgrohe.
Performance monitoring and coaching is an ever-evolving space, and this makes it important that coaches, performance staff and athletes can have confidence that they are utilising a platform that is at the forefront of this today but also has the capacity to evolve with this moving forward.
“Partnering with leading world tour teams and helping them find the next 1% in performance gains has a direct flow on effect to Today’s Plan coaches and athletes as we strive to remain at the forefront of coaching and analysis. As a sports tech company we are committed to remaining at the leading edge of this field”. Benji Marshall, Today’s Plan Coach Manager.
With a long term approach to the partnership, this represents an exciting step moving forward for all users of Today’s Plan as we continue to develop the platform guided by feedback from BORA – hansgrohe and our commercial coaches and athletes.
